SCSP programs

In 2024, a total of eight training programmes of one to three days duration, three awareness programmes, and three kisan melas were conducted under SCSP in different states of India. Backyard poultry units with each unit comprising 20 birds, 20kg feed, one feeder and one waterer were provided to women beneficiaries for the improvementof their nutritional status and livelihood. A totalof 1917 SC/ST beneficiaries including 1092 women were benefitted during 2024.

Under the pilot programme for assessmentand alleviation of malnutrition through supplementation of chicken in the diet of adolescent SC girl children, nutritional status of girl children was assessed in collaboration with AIIMS, Bibinagar. Chicken is provided in the diets of girl children to alleviate protein malnutrition. For the students who were found to be anaemic, iron folic acid (IFA) tablets are being provided to combat anaemia. The study is in progress.
